Specialty Tea: Discover the Options at Consciencia Cafe

Consciencia Cafe

Technically, “tea” refers exclusively to the Camellia Sinensis plant, which produces six different categories. Infusions, such as chamomile, are not true teas, although the term is used for any spice, plant, or fruit steeped in water.

What are Specialty Teas?

Specialty teas are characterized by their artisanal production process, distinguishing them from conventional products in quality and preparation.

Tea Fun Facts

  • Tea functioned as a form of currency in countries like China and Siberia
  • One cup of white tea contains antioxidants equivalent to ten glasses of apple juice
  • The expression “a spoonful of tea” originated from the ancient practice of offering tea to the sick
