Coffee and Art: How Consciencia Opens Its Doors to Local Artists

Consciencia Cafe

Coffee and art have a great deal in common. Major historical artists like Candido Portinari and Debret used coffee plantations as inspiration for their works. Both coffee and art awaken similar sensations: coffee through aroma and flavor, while art brings visual beauty and emotional awareness.

Consciencia Cafe Initiatives

Consciencia Cafe opens its space to exhibitions by local visual artists, functioning as both a gallery and a cultural meeting point. This initiative aims to promote the artistic works being created in our community.

Spotlight: Jacelyne Wulczak

Visual artist Jacelyne Wulczak is a featured creator, known for her watercolors and realistic portraits. In 2022, after painting a piece honoring the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, she received a letter from Buckingham Palace recognizing her work.

Community Projects

Jacelyne is involved in initiatives such as:

  • ACAPI - Association of Visual Artists of Iguacu
  • Aquarelices - A group that brings art to schools and social organizations
  • Plein air - Monthly gatherings where artists paint scenes from Foz do Iguacu

She also maintains a studio in Vila Yolanda offering classes in drawing, watercolor, and painting.
